Last Saturday I GO/WENT shopping with my mum. I WANTED/WENT a top to wear with my new blue and white spotted skirt. First we went to In Girl. I FIND/FOUND a nice top, but it WEREN'T/WASN'T the right size. After we WAITED/WALKED to Stylish in the shopping centre. They WERE/HAD a lot of tops. I TRIED/TIDIED on three or four. I liked the colours and the styles. There was a nice white top, but there was a problem: Stylish is an expensive shop and that top COST/COSTS £25. My mum SAYS/SAID no. Then we SAW/SEE some nice tops in the window of Candyfloss, a new boutique in the High Street. The shop assistant was very patient. She GIVE/GAVE me six tops to try on. They were the right size and there was a special promotion. Finally I CHOOSE/CHOSE two tops: one white top and one blue. My mum and I were very pleased because we BUY/BOUGHT two for the price of one.
